It has been a topic of conversation in Formula 1 for a while now: is there the possibility for Andretti to enter the pinnacle of motorsport? Following the restructuring at the Haas team, a collaboration between the two American teams does not seem to be out of the question.

According to Gene Haas, things have to change at his team. He is no longer content with the places the team currently occupies on the grid. Last season, the American team finished in last place in the constructors' championship. Firing team boss-Guenther Steiner seems to be step one in this plan.

Two-time Indy 500 winner, Arie Luyendyk, questions whether Haas still has a future in Formula 1 in conversation with Motorsport.com. "Yes, that's obviously what Haas has to consider. Is it worth staying in it for me? Because he will have to put a lot more into it, from his own resources or from outside, to be more successful. Because, of course, it's all about the numbers. Ultimately, the budget is very important to be able to hire the people who are good and pay those people."

Sell Haas to Andretti?

Haas may also consider selling its team to Andretti, according to Luyendyk. Haas could then get much more for it than it paid for it at the time. Of course, this consideration depends on how Gene Haas wants to continue his business and what his goal is.
