Things didn't go well for Sergio Perez last week. The Mexican didn't feel comfortable in the Red Bull, which meant he was behind the times all weekend. A good strategy almost saw him snatch third place from Valtteri Bottas, but he fell half a second short at the finish. Perez will be looking for revenge in Austria this weekend.
"I can't believe this is my 200th race! I am really looking forward to racing in the same place for a second weekend, I think this will give me a very good understanding of the car. I now have a very good reference from last weekend and I know the areas I need to improve," Perez stated in Red Bull's preview.

Different strategies at Red Bull Ring?

The tyres will be a stroke softer next weekend, which the Mexican believes will be interesting. "It will also be interesting to see how much the tyre compounds will change the performance and strategy throughout the weekend. I think we can do very well this weekend and it would be very special to step up on the podium here at our home race and secure more points for the team."
Perez currently occupies third place in the Drivers' Championship. The 31-year-old driver has managed to grab 96 points to date, 60 fewer than Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton is second in the World Championship with 138 points.
