Suzuka is one of the only tracks to receive praise from all drivers, and if you’ve ever driven the track, even on a game, you will know the magic of the circuit.
The daring entry to the first corner, the technical esses, the never ending Spoon curve and the scarily fast 130R, Suzuka has everything that a good track should and it’s obvious to see why so many drivers love it.
The track provides the perfect blend between fast and slow, with every corner bringing its own challenge to the table.
And now
Sergio Perez has become the latest of this year’s drivers to sing praise to the host of the
Japanese Grand Prix.
The Mexican said: “It’s a super feeling to be driving at Suzuka in these cars. It’s one of the greatest tracks and every lap, even in practice, is really enjoyable.”
Perez recorded 13th and 11th placed finishes in first and second practice respectively on Friday at this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix and believes that there is more he can do tomorrow to be more competitive.
He added: “The day was pretty normal in terms of the work we did, but there is more to be done to make sure I feel comfortable with the car.
“We tried quite a lot of things with the set-up and we saw that Esteban was quite competitive so there is already a good baseline for tomorrow.”
