The
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place on the last
Formula 1 weekend of the year. During this weekend's second free practice session, the teams will once again be able to test the
Pirelli compounds for the 2021 season, as
Pirelli announced in a press release on their
website.
Pirelli to test 2021 tyres again
The new tires were previously tested in Portimão and Bahrain. Many drivers were unhappy with the new compounds, with which they have struggled for grip. It remains to be seen if the drivers in Abu Dhabi will be more positive about the new tyres.
Per car, the teams will have one set of the 2021 C4 compound at their disposal. These can be tested during the second free practice, where the drivers will have to drive a minimum of eight laps with these tyres.
