Red Bull's self-made deadline for the engine decision of 2019 is during the Austrian Grand Prix is edging ever closer, and Renault's chief engine developer Remi Taffin hopes that the Bulls will remain loyal.
Taffin explained to French magazine Auto Hebdo that the working relationship between Renault and Red Bull is more than well.
"We have to look at this in practice," Taffin explained.
"We've been working together for over twelve years and we've had an enormous amount of wins together.
"I don't see why we wouldn't continue together."
Performance and relationships aside, Taffin explains that there are a lot of practicalities too that need to be considered.
"We can't forget that there are six hundred people working at the base in Milton Keynes and another four hundred at our base in Viry-Châtillon.
"We have to keep building on our thoughts, because we have a good relationship."
