Renault will hold multiple demos across France ahead of this years French Grand Prix. F1 will return to the country for the first time since 2008 with the event held in Paul Ricard instead of Magny Cours.
The French team will be visiting 10 destinations in eight days as they promote the race across the south of France. The team have already held a demonstration in Nice early this year which, despite appalling weather, was a resounding success.
Renault have confirmed that they will be running a Lotus E20 for all of the events all of which will include pit stop practices, simulators, meet and greets as well as autograph sessions.
Managing director of Renault Cyril Abeteboul said in a statement that the team was proud they have the opportunity to be involved in such an event.
“This is the first time such an ambitious programme has ever been organised to bring the general public closer to Formula 1. We are proud that Renault, along with the region, is involved in this unique activity, which underscores all our central values.”
Both drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz will be driving at the events in early June, ahead of the grand prix.
