Daniel Ricciardo has insisted that he is not having any second thoughts over his move to Renault for next season, despite reliability concerns surrounding the French manufacturer.
Ricciardo announced in the summer break this season that he'd be ending his 12-year stay with
Red Bull Racing and switching alliances to Renault.
And the Aussie has suffered with the reliability of the Renault engine this season and most recently, Ricciardo was forced to retire whilst in fourth last weekend in Texas.
Red Bull are switching power units to Honda next season, and Ricciardo is moving to Renault and using their own engines.
Ricciardo was asked by Crash about any second thoughts regarding his decision to join Renault, and replied: "No. For sure, I'm aware there is work to do, that's the truth, but I knew that as well when I signed.
"I think I'm still more excited than not, just about having a fresh environment and a change. Hopefully we get a good run the next few races, otherwise these guys will probably be sick of me as well losing my sh*t. So probably for everyone it's a good thing I move on.
"I'm not superstitious, but even if I was, I haven't walked under any ladders, haven't run over any black cats - sometimes I'd like to! I really don't know.
"It's just how it's going at the moment. Why it keeps happening, I don't think there is an explanation."
