After
Max Verstappen lashed out a bit during the drivers' press conference in Canada, his teammate
Daniel Ricciardo defended the Dutchman, saying he understands that Max must be really fed up with getting asked the same questions
After a reporter from the Daily Mail asked Verstappen why he crashes so often, Verstappen responded with "I don't know," followed by a very long pause. He then went on to say that if anyone asks him that question again, he would headbutt him.
Ricciardo sympathizes with his young teammate.
"He's in a lesser phase of his career now, and those kinds of questions are that much harder to take then," the Aussie explained to Motorsport.
"It makes sense that Max is fed up with those kinds of questions.
"I have full confidence that Max will come out back on top."
A nice gesture from Ricciardo. It's not often a driver will defend his teammate like that. It's good to see that even though they've collided many times, the two Red Bull drivers still respect each other very much.
