On the back of an impressive P5-finish in Baku, Renault's Carlos Sainz Junior is hoping to do even better in front of his home crowd in Spain next weekend.
This will be the fourth time in Sainz's young career that he will be racing in Barcelona, but the special feeling of driving at home hasn't gone away for him.
"It’s the most special Grand Prix of the year for me," Sainz said.
"I’ve raced in three Spanish Grands Prix so far, and each of them has been very special and I’ve managed to get some good results here.
Sainz has been racing at the Circuit de Catalunya ever since he was young, but he knows that that won't be an advantage in the F1.
"We get to do the tests here, both in winter and after the race, so every Formula One driver is very familiar with the track layout.
This year will feature a special stand dedicated for Sainz-fans. At turn five, 4,000 fans will be able to take place in the stand that's appropriately named after the Renault-driver.
