Sebastian Vettel didn't start his new season with the
Aston Martin F1 Team in a convincing manner. Especially the collision in which he drove into the back of
Esteban Ocon. This drew a lot of criticism for the four-time champion. It seems that Vettel hasn't found his way up after the poor season in 2020, but several people argue that Vettel should be given some time. Earlier,
Nico Rosberg already
spoke about this, now also
Andreas Seidl.
Not a good weekend
The
McLaren team boss says in the AvD Motor & Sport Magazine of
Sport1.de that he is still convinced of the German champion's abilities.
"It was just a weekend that didn't go so well. I think he will come back with his experience. I think we will see a lot more of him, Vettel has not forgotten how to drive."Vettel expressed that he is struggling with the car because he is not quite comfortable in it yet. However, the problems that the car has, should be solved. For example, former F1 driver Karl Wendlinger said in the same program, "The team is also in such a good financial position now that they can solve the problems of Bahrain. Therefore, I am sure that Vettel will still achieve good results."
According to Seidl, it is necessary for Vettel that the team calms him down in that situation and afterwards calmly analyses what exactly happened so that proper action can be taken. From that perspective things should work out sooner or later and then Vettel could show his real value again.
