Mitch Evans finished the third free practice session of Formula E in Berlin fastest. On a soaking wet track, the Jaguar driver, who won the E-Prix yesterday, set the quickest time at the end of the session. In doing so, he beat Andre Lotterer by just under a tenth of a second.
In the first minute, it was already touch and go in Berlin. Rene Rast's McLaren already had a problem exiting the pit lane. With no drive, he rolled through to Turn 1, then stood still on the track for a prolonged time, unable to restart his car. After the stewards waved yellow flags for five minutes and some drivers were already complaining, the session was interrupted with red flags.
Despite the weather reports saying the rain would steer clear of the Tempelhof circuit, some rain was still coming down. The teams obviously wanted to minimise accidents, so some teams seemed to hold back. Check out the results of the third free practice session here!
