The Qatar Grand Prix had a surprising top four with Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez. The drivers also received the most votes in the election of 'GPblog Driver of the Day,' although Alonso emerged as the big winner.
The Spaniard managed to finish on the podium for the first time in years. With a third position behind Hamilton and Verstappen, the Alpine driver could be very satisfied. The viewers saw that too because with 58 percent of the votes he was the big winner of the weekend.
Verstappen was given a five-place grid penalty prior to the race, but he still managed to finish in second place. He received 24 percent of the votes. Hamilton and Perez remained close with respectively eight and six percent of the votes.
