AlphaTauri has invested a lot in rookie Yuki Tsunoda, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Not only does he get another season to develop with the team, but he now has his own racing simulator to practice with at home.
Expectations for the Japanese racing talent were high, and his strong debut in Bahrain underlined that. After that however he had a period with peaks and lows, in which he made several crashes. Helmut Marko then decided to move him to Italy, so that he could 'settle in' with his team.

Tsunoda has good hopes for simulator

On top of that, he has now been given his own racing simulator. "I've been doing a lot of laps," says Tsunoda in conversation with Motorsport.com. "It's not the same as the simulator at Red Bull of course, but it's the most realistic one I've used."
"The big advantage of the sim is that I can get to know the circuits and sharpen my driving style," the AlphaTauri driver continued. "The last five races I was pretty consistent, but the speed and performance were not so good. I hope I can improve this weekend and be more competitive," concludes Tsunoda.

Hope he sorts out his quali worries first. He isn't supposed to be hanging out with the Alpha Romeo and Haas cars out after Q1.
If he can get himself to Q3 and grab the P8 or P9, he might just be able to hold on to p10 in race... he's got the skills and a pretty decent car for that.

Everything takes time, nothing happens at the click of a finger because nothing can replace your real time on the track, but no one can say that he is not trying. He works very, very hard backstage.

In the end, this work will bring results - let him be patient, don't let go and don't look at the opinions of people who have no idea about anything. It will be fine.
