We've had another new driver announcement today, with George Russell being the new driver at Williams next season, meaning that there's yet another occupied seat on next year's grid!
If you're a driver and you want to squeeze yourself into the grid for next season, you're starting to run out of options. Officially, four seats are unmanned, but two of those at Force India are as good as taken, with Sergio Pérez and Lance Stroll being nailed on for the two seats at the Pink Panthers. This leaves drivers like Esteban Ocon with almost nowhere to go, meaning that he'll likely have to take a year off from F1.
Anyway, this is what the full grid for 2019 officially looks like as of now!
Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas
Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel, Charles Leclerc
Red Bull: Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly
Renault: Nico Hülkenberg, Daniel Ricciardo.
Force India: unknown (likely Sergio Pérez and Lance Stroll)
Haas: Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen.
McLaren: Carlos Sainz Jr., Lando Norris
Toro Rosso: Daniil Kvyat, unknown
Sauber: Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi.
Williams: George Russell, unknown
