Five-time Grand Prix winner
Max Verstappen is very excited about the upcoming season and
Red Bull Racing's partnership with Honda, as the Dutchman revealed he hasn't been this excited for a car since 2016, when he started his second season at Toro Rosso.
Red Bull and Honda's marriage is one of the biggest storylines of 2019, with the Bulls ditching Renault at the end of 2018 in favour of the Japanese engine manufacturer. With Honda, Red Bull will be their only customer, essentially making them a works team.
"When you see the Honda engine is laying in the back, you start the car, you simply drive out of the garage and hit the gas. That's very nice," Verstappen explained in an interview with Dutch television station Ziggo Sport.
The feeling the RB15 gives Verstappen is something he hasn't experienced in several years, he explained.
"I've felt this way once before and that was with Toro Rosso in 2016, those first four races. Before that and after that I've never felt it again, until now," he stated.
