Max Verstappen has once again raised eyebrows by crashing his RB14, and this time the Dutchman admits that the crash was his own fault.
Verstappen did manage to do significantly better in FP2, but the fact that the youngster has again crashed his car is a concerning sign. This time though, he admits that it was his own fault.
"It was a shame in FP1, but it was my fault," he explained.
"I lost control over the rear-end of the car and I spun.
"Thankfully the damage wasn't all that bad and we could fix everything, hats off to the engineers for that.
"This is part of it on a street circuit, I'm not worried."
He may not be worried, but there's starting to be a pattern in the Dutchman's style of driving. There's a fine line between being aggressive and being reckless, and Verstappen is edging towards the latter with the way he's been driving lately.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Verstappen is confident he will do well.
"We know that others have a qualifying mode, but we're looking fast.
"Besides, I think we might have a trick up our sleeves too."
