Max Verstappen achieved a glorious victory in the Netherlands on Sunday afternoon. During the
Dutch Grand Prix, he and
Red Bull Racing were too good for Mercedes that finished second and third.
The Dutchman is doing extremely well after the summer break. Where he managed to get the most points of the weekend during the Belgium GP, he again managed to be the best of the race weekend in the Netherlands. Mercedes did try to overtake Verstappen during the race, but the task proved too difficult.
Team performance of Red Bull Racing
Robert Doornbos emphasised to
Humberto on
RTL that the victory was once again a team effort.
"That car is top," the analyst judges.
"And he has always said that when the car is good enough they would go for it together. Formula 1 is a team sport. We see Max on the podium, but behind him are 1100 men who work very hard day in, day out to build the fastest car." According to Doornbos, the team effort at
Zandvoort was very noticeable.
"Think about the pit stops today, because it was a fantastic strategic game with Mercedes," explained the former driver, who is once again impressed by Verstappen.
"He has an amazing calmness at that age."
