Max Verstappen of
Red Bull Racing has said that he doesn't consider
McLaren and Renault to be a threat to his team.
The Dutch youngster has seen the new RB14 impress friend and foe during the testing weeks in Barcelona, as Mercedes' technical director James Allison singled out the team for praise.
Verstappen and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo have consistently played down that they'll be a title contender, but Verstappen has made clear that he's not worried about the other Renault-powered teams.
"You always pay attention to everybody," he told Autosport, "but I don't think they [McLaren and Renault] will be our main rivals."
"We don't want that to be the case either, because that would mean we're not doing a good job. We need to look ahead," the 20-year-old added.
In terms of how the testing is going, Verstappen said that things were going as planned and there have been no setbacks.
"I do my own thing and we manage to do our laps. I'm pretty relaxed, it's been going quite good"
"This week is for sure better than last week, in terms of temperatures and what you can learn from the car."
