Verstappen scores best with the fans after the Russian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen was named 'Driver of the Day' on Sunday by fans of Formula 1. The Red Bull Racing driver managed to finish in a great second place, splitting the two Mercedes.

It was an exciting battle for the title 'Driver of the Day', because Verstappen does not have a large gap to second. The Dutchman received a total of 13.7% of all votes, 1.4% more than Charles Leclerc received. The Monegasque managed to steer his Ferrari to sixth position, despite a poor car.

Lewis Hamilton completes the top three with 10.5% of the votes. Hamilton had a race with problems due to the ten-second penalty he received early in the Grand Prix. Final race winner Valtteri Bottas is back in fourth position with 10%. Bottas took his ninth victory of his F1 career and now has as many wins as Verstappen.
