Max Verstappen takes his first Driver of the Day win of the 2025 season at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He started in first place and ended in second place after a five-second time penalty. After he crossed the line, he said, "Well done, guys. I gave it everything I had. It is what it is. We move on."
He continued, "This weekend has been a lot, a lot positive for us, so well done."
Verstappen was joined on the podium by race winner Piastri and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc at the Jeddah Corniche circuit, where he did not look happy during the celebrations.
He was visably upset at second place finish after losing his first place to Piastri.
Verstappen also refrained from talking to the media about his penalty. The four-time world champion was adamant and firm about how
he did not want to talk about it.
Verstappen won DOTD by 23% and remains in third place in the World Drivers' Championship standings. He has also closed the gap to Lando Norris as only two points seperate them.
