Sebastian Vettel admits that he is asking Charles Leclerc for advice on the car. Vettel opened up about the relationship with his teammate and how they both share information with each other to try and make each other as fast as possible.
Formula 1 teams are usually good at helping each other out. Teammates will talk about their cars and how to improve and it seems that this is an environment that has been created at Ferrari.
“We sit right opposite each other and we share the same seat in the car so we are talking quite a lot, about the car’s behaviour, his feedback, my feedback,Vettel said to crash.net.
“We are listening to each other. Everybody surrounding the table is listening so as think as much exchanges as possible."
When asked if Leclerc was asking Vettel for any tips, the German said, “I’m asking him!"
“I don’t recall every question he’s asked but we’ve talked about the car and our feelings about the front-end, the rear-end and so on.
“I think there were a lot of questions but not just from his side, also I’ve asked a lot of questions.”
“We are always talking about the same things and trying to find the best balance and pointing out the weaknesses of the car,” he said.
Many believe that Vettel will be under pressure from Leclerc this season so it will be interesting to see if this relationship continues to be so open or if they drift apart as the competition heats up.
