Sebastian Vettel has said that the day he'll stop in the F1 is when he's either too slow or if he loses his passion for the sport, as the German will drive his 200th career Grand Prix this weekend.
Vettel has no plans to quit the F1 any time soon though, as the 30-year-old told Corriere Della Serra.
"You give up when you're too slow," Vettel said when asked if there's a right age to stop racing.
"Or when you lose the passion for the sport, so if you lose that excitement and nervousness before every race.
"If that happens to me, I'll leave the sport, leaving a space for younger people."
Vettel started life in 2018 well with a hard-fought win in Melbourne and will look to replicate last years' result in Bahrain, when he overtook both Mercedes cars and finished first.
Interestingly, the last driver to reach 200 races was Nico Rosberg, who walked away from the sport after claiming the 2016 title.
"To make such a decision takes real balls," Vettel said on the topic.
