Max Verstappen has won the first real race of the triple header at
Zandvoort. The race at Spa, although he won it, only lasted two laps. For Verstappen, the victory at his home Grand Prix will therefore feel better than the one at Spa.
It's no surprise then that Verstappen is a contender for GPblog's 'Driver of the Day' at
Zandvoort.
Sergio Perez, who was able to drive from the backfield to eighth place after his engine change, is also a likely candidate.
Another candidate is
Pierre Gasly, who was able to put his AlphaTauri in fourth place, behind the three dominant cars of the weekend. Or will it be Fernando Alonso, who ended the Grand Prix in sixth place after starting ninth?
