The Monaco Grand Prix was exciting this season due to the severe weather conditions. Several drivers put in positive performances Sunday afternoon, including Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz. Perez started the race from third place and then managed to beat both Sainz and Charles Leclerc. It ensured that the Mexican took his first win of the season, while the Ferrari drivers had to settle for second and fourth final places.
Max Verstappen also delivered excellent work. The Dutchman had been struggling to keep up with the competition all weekend, but still managed to finish on the podium in the race. With a third-place, he left Leclerc behind, keeping him on top in the world championship.
Other drivers also achieved a nice result. George Russell, for example, picked up a lot of points for his team with a fifth-place and Lando Norris finished sixth. Sebastian Vettel managed to secure an important point for Aston Martin, although that does not yet cause any shifts in the constructors' championship.
