Toto Wolff has warned their rivals that they "will come back strong in China".
It was an opportunity many feel Mercedes wasted. A strong comeback on race day and initiative on strategy set the Silver Arrows up for a chance of victory yet somehow it managed to slip away.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Mercedes man said that despite missing out on victory, he was still happy with the result.
"With a two and three we have to be happy after yesterday.
"We need to stay humble, we were not great on Friday and Saturday. The heat is not something we like, the track surface is not good for us. We will come back strong in China, hopefully."
