It's about the match between driving style and the car. M. Schumacher also preferred a front end biased car. He had refined his craft to perfection during the years to keep it on razor edge regardless conditions (wet, dry). When he returned to F1 the Merc was not the car driving style he needed. Not so much front biased. That meant that an ordinary driver like Nico was able to defeat him. Not even a driving genius like Schumacher was able to change/reinvent his style to at least win (even far from dominating). Driving style incompatibility applies for Max. Remember that beginning of season (2023? maybe) when Checo started strong with qualifyings and race pace near Max, also winning some races? The car was not suited to Max style, until a point that year where development turned it back to increased front end bias. Then Max took the considerable lead again over Checo. You see, even Max cannot reinvent himself and find the speed in a car requiring another driving style.27-03-2025 17:42

Red Bull F1 should hold a test in an older car with several drivers they have available. And see which is more adapted to this front biased F1 RBR car. Such a test would worth the money. Potentially save their constructor title.27-03-2025 15:46

I wouldn't be surprised if the Racing Bulls car is the faster one at this stage of the season. Certainly is more stable and predictable. Whoever you put in the RedBull will not fare well I guess.23-03-2025 07:28

Ok why doesn't Verstappen's side of garage share the findings (how to bring the car in the optimal window - tyres, etc) with Lawson? I find this strange if it does not happen. Organize meetings, coaching with Verstappen and his engineers to pass the know how.23-03-2025 07:25

Judging by the response acidity, could be something behind. Maybe Max already realized following pre-season testing that things haven't improved and lost confidence in technical team's abilities. Also on the engine side perhaps what he knows already is not encouraging either, so he is looking to secure asap a place in a team with real chances next year.09-03-2025 15:13

Ohhh what about Toto's pledge for environmental sustainability? Going green? Is that private jet helping to reach that?09-03-2025 10:09

If they hope for "a settlement" it's clear that in the back of their mind they know she got them with something. Otherwise they'd say clearly, flat-out that there is nothing whatsoever. So much about the "independent" internal investigation.09-03-2025 09:56

See the real culture shock on their faces (esp high ranking responsibles) if Lewis delivers less than Sainz.09-03-2025 10:11

Of course, he says gives this PR ol' boilerplate statement just as football players do. They all dreamed of playing for all those teams when they were young.09-03-2025 10:13
