If Max does leave Red Bull I'd think either Mercedes or Aston Martin and my guy would go with Aston due to relationships with Adrian and Honda. It wouldn't help Merc's chance when they are now saying what Max and Red Bull mentioned some time ago that the '26 power units run out of steam before the end of the straights in their simulations. The Mercedes living legend made an erroneous claim in an interview with CNA Luxury: “What a lot of people don’t actually know is that I re-designed the steering wheel when I was at McLaren. And when I came to Mercedes, I did the same thing, and the other teams have all copied the wheel. “All the old wheels used to be circular. Now, you’ll see there’s a top and the handle comes down and it doesn’t join at the bottom. I should have copyrighted it. This is something I’m really proud of; I really love working on the ergonomics of the car,” added Hamilton, winner of 103 Grands Prix. The article then goes on to explain how this was a false claim... Clearly, neither Hamilton nor the author of the piece did any research (Google is Good) on the claim because his former McLaren team had flat-bottom their steering wheels for well over a decade before Lewis had his ergonomic brainwave.
