Max Verstappen must remain careful in order to avoid a possible suspension in F1. The Red Bull Racing driver has the most penalty points out of the crurrent drivers, which will not disappear for a longer time. Penalty points standings
After the stewards handed out some penalties in Bahrain, not all of them led to drivers getting points. Due to the second half of the previous season, Verstappen still leads the list with 8 points on his license.
The next time two points will come off the Dutchman's license will be on June 30. Then, the following two points will come off on October 27. The final points will disappear by the end of the season, unless the driver earns more points by then.
Racing Bulls driver
Liam Lawson earned himself three penalty points at the Bahrain GP. During last Sunday, the New Zealander was penalised twice by the stewards, receiving a causing a collision with Lance Stroll and Nico Hulkenberg.
Carlos Sainz received a 10-second penalty and two penalty points for forcing Andrea Kimi Antonelli off the track.
Many drivers were handed penalties over the weekend without penalty points. The two Mercedes drivers received a one-place grid penalty for not following the race director's instructions during Q2, after Esteban Ocon caused a red flag.
Lando Norris received a five-second penalty for not lining up within his grid box for the Grand Prix, and Yuki Tsunoda earned himself a reprimand for overtaking Alexander Albon.
The Thai driver however minutes later impeded the driver replacing Carlos Sainz for that FP1 session, Luke Browning. That incident cost Williams €7500.
The only team without any points in this regard are Ferrari with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
