That's rather true, Norris didn't need to take those risks, it could have cost him a lot. But Verstappen was a lucky a bastard too. He did the job in Q3, well done, he couldn't have done better. But he was lucky overall : 1- first that Ferraris crapped in the glue on Saturday 2- second that Hamilton's choice (red tyres) was just perfect to create a huge gap between P2 and P3 3- third that Ricciardo stole the point to Norris23-09-2024 13:07

To me the first problem at Ferrari, for Hamilton, is not called Newey, but Leclerc. Newey at Enstone, that would be a great project ! :)06-03-2024 07:49

Why ? Because he's obsessed with Hamilton, and he'd like to marry Verstappen. Before reading his comments, you know what's going to follow.12-06-2023 15:47

Verstappen is impressive, a top driver driver since his first race. This is not the case of Perez who is notoriously just a (very) good driver and will never be a benchmark. Perez should be second at every race with such a dominant car but he just can't make it. Too easy for Verstappen.05-06-2023 12:43

Did you make a poll about people's opinions ? lol22-05-2023 09:53

Well, it wasn't the same car, it wasn't the same pressure, it wasn't the same frustration. To me Vestappen has never been in that situation. Only soothsayers know.12-05-2023 13:53

Really ? At that point Verstappen was clearly faster, for a few races already. Leclerc started to struggle, Ferrari was already struggling (that was a joke sometimes). Some people conclude that Ferrari still had the best car, but Verstappen made the difference. Other people conclude that RBR had the best car. Considering race pace, that's just obvious. RBR had reliability and overload issues, at the very beginning of the season. Despite this, it was clear that the car was very good. Actually RBR had the best car 90% of the season. But I'm not saying it's normal that Leclerc crashed out in France (or spun in Italy), there was a lack of cleverness, he knew the chances to win were very very slim cause Verstappen would be faster, no need to drive beyond the limits. But I can understand his high frustration.22-05-2023 10:25

As soon as RBR had some evolutions and got rid of their extra weight, they were ahead. French GP was the 12th GP.... RBR had the best car for a (very) long time.... When I talk about the car, I mean the fastest on sunday, not saturday. I agree with the second part, it's a lack of intelligence. And as long as he can't cope with his own frustration, he won't get that intelligence. Ferrari is a privilege but also poison. I think he's losing his time. I wish he could go to RBR. If Verstappen is too strong, then Leclerc won't win, but he'll have had the chance.23-05-2023 09:38

Again, that's not what I remember. That's not because Palmer say it is so, that it's necessary true. Other datasets say the contrary, it's not a question of preferences. From Imola (4th race) the RBR started to lose weight (8 kg reportedly, 2-3 tenths a lap) and had evolutions. There was so much weight to lose that 2 months later RBR had gained more than 6 tenths a lap reportedly, only regarding its slimming. This overweight caused tyre management problems, especially in qualifying. And of course there were evolutions also. Regarding the results, it means that very early in the season the heavy RBR was not so slow, compared to the Ferrari.. And it quickly became faster, as Ferrari kept muddled and unable to improve its own car. From Imola, RBR won 16 races out of the 19 (2/19 for Ferrari) remaining, and you tell me that their car was not the best. Funny ! lol Of course Ferrari made incredible silly mistakes, but are you sure this conservation is about MY preferences, or yours ? ;-) Anyway I don't really care, this is the past now. Have a nice day.24-05-2023 11:00

I think it's just useless and time-consuming. As I said, I don't really care, it's not something that bothers me. I just know what I know, and I'm not that kind of person who loves to invent. I think Leclerc deserves a real chance and Verstappen a real teammate. But this indeed is just a dream... :-)05-06-2023 12:50
