Lando Norris set the fastest time in FP3 at the Suzuka Circuit, with a 1:27.965. Oscar Piastri finished second, while George Russell rounded off the final free practice session of the weekend.
There were two red flag incidents for the grass catching fire this session, similarly to FP2. The second happened towards the end of the session, therefore, some drivers could not get a final lap in ahead of qualifying.
After making a couple of mistakes in Turn 9, Lando Norris managed to put in the fastest lap. That corner proved to be the trickiest so far today.
Charles Leclerc finished in P4, while Max Verstappen set the fifth quickest time, and was marginally ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
