I don't care if you are a professional athlete or not, there is only so much stress one's brain & body can endure before the brain goes in to primal/survival mode and basic functions are almost impossible to achieve. Yes F1 drivers will be able to take much more stress than us average Joe's, but there is a breaking point. Checo has been coping in for a while, look at Bottas being so much happier in life rather than his one year contracts at Merc. Also Daniel deserved a proper send off, RB haven't handled that very well IMHO.24-09-2024 12:17

As a huge Danny Ric fan it was hard to watch those post race interviews with all his emotion. He has had a great career, in hindsight should have stayed at Red Bull. But as he said he came back to try to get back into Red Bull but his form hasn't been enough. Looking forward to see what Ricky Bobby does next.23-09-2024 01:28

Agreed Zac, I'm sure they would like to leave Ollie in and get some races under the belt but I'm sure that would cost them some coin. Also Ayao has spoken about K-Mag having a future in the team under a different role, so sacking him now wont bode well for that.06-09-2024 12:46

Yes Niki and Marko were close mates so it makes sense for 1st point on contact. Toto was right to veto it though, why provide a PU to a team that could then beat you with it. I guess it is what McLaren are doing now but their performance from where they were 2 or 3 years ago has been outstanding.06-09-2024 03:29

I'm sure most people on here know this, but Mick Schumacher is named after Jack's Dad, the legendary Moto GP Champ Mick Doohan. The Schumacher family gave Jack his 1st go-kart as a gift - so he really was going up against his mate for that seat.06-09-2024 03:22

I think him being 33% owner of the team would make it harder for him to be moved on, but I don't think Horner should be gone either. Max will most likely win the title, if not be 2nd and Red Bull as this rate will likely be 2nd in the constructors championship. Still not a bad year even if at the start of the year you would have had your hard earned on them winning both.27-08-2024 12:09

Good point, but he still may have something to offer yet, he was good in F2. Romain Grosjean came into F1 to early, went away for a few years then was pretty good for a few years in the Lotus with Kimi. Maybe he could do the same?26-08-2024 11:22

Smart move, Liam deserves a chance. I hope someone will give Logan a role as a reserve driver, if not I'm sure he will find a drive in Indy, and I hope he does well.26-08-2024 04:35

As much as they take the mickey out of each other I do think there is a mutual respect between the two.26-08-2024 05:59

I am not sure why, but Logan was one driver I really hoped would get it together and make it work, he was solid in F2. Unfortunately he hasn't and its time for him to go, there is probably 1 million bucks damage on that car and I think James Vowels and Williams have been more than fair with the chances Logan has been given so I think swapping him for Lawson is a no-brainer.25-08-2024 12:01
