They do seem to have some serious stability issues atm but anything would be a fool to put too much stock in what Toto says with an eye on the entire season. Lots of races - anything can happen. It would be refreshing though for Merc to be an also ran for just one season. Ferrari vs RB has the potential to be even more epic with Ferrari at least having two potential WDC candidates. Checo will need to step it up a notch unless Ferrari becomes its own worst enemy.18-03-2022 23:20

But wait.. I thought Max was the one who is aggressive and can't deal with the pressure? /s18-03-2022 15:56

Not suspicious at all that anti Max comments in a thread where it's hard for anyone to argue him or Checo are wrong about it - suddenly get 100+ likes where they never did before. /s Whoever is upvote spamming must be on the Netflix payroll or otherwise just very very bored.18-03-2022 15:46

Nah. Don't you know F1 is only corrupt when it only goes against Merc? /s obv Rear wings, DAS, magic buttons, pitstop changes mid season, the pink Mercedes, disposable engines, etc etc. I don't think anyone can argue against it being a bit unusual how often Merc is the only one to be followed by this level of controversy even though blinded Merc fans will say something silly that it's only bc the other teams are jealous or something.17-03-2022 16:54

*yawn* Anyhoo- in the world where racing is cool and the drivers are enjoying their lives - doing things like this must be one of the best things about their jobs. What's better than just having fun with iconic, unique and historic carsin environments just about no one else will have the opportunity to drive them.16-03-2022 17:50

Sounds like it ll be an even bigger madhouse this year then. If the rumors are true about F1 looking to extend the deal with Zandvoort prematurely though then I do hope they'll find some funds to make the track a bit more overtake friendly.16-03-2022 17:52

I do believe the hype around Ferrari is warranted but their usual reliability and tactical shortcomings will probably screw them again. I think Carlos will claim the new no. 1 driver status for them though. Especially once they have a good car I can see Charles becoming victim to his more aggressive driving style. Like Max he can be his own worst enemy. A possible victim of this Ferrari battle could be Max who may now have not only Lewis to aggressively battle but a Charles and George trying to prove a point as well. I hope I'm wrong because I'd rather see a race without crashes but I would not be surprised if we're looking at a lot more DNFs this year. Between the aforementioned, the heavier cars, and sight line issues because if the new tyres I don't see how that will be avoidable.16-03-2022 18:01

Bit disrespectful to Checo to be labeled "the other one" but I'm guessing he didn't mean it that way.16-03-2022 18:17
