You might want to consult for Mercedes and give them this advice?23-12-2020 01:03

Mech You were one of the guys who claimed Max is not at Mercedes because Lewis does not want him there. I disputed you at the time. Now it turns out Max was offered the drive and he chickened out. Instead of acknowledging your fault you are starting again with George. George is on record as saying that Lewis has been teaching him how to get the best out of his car. Is that the sign of a man is scared of George? Really, we devalue to blog if we are this partisan.23-12-2020 01:17

It is not true mp599. Lewis did congratulate Russel when he came back. You read it yourself on this same blog. Now why are you cheering up Gerhard?22-12-2020 09:56

Red Bull Racing really hopes to compete with Mercedes for the world title in 2021. An important part of this battle is the power of the engine and according to Helmut Marko we can expect a lot from Honda. My friends on this blog seem to believe that the only way to derive more power from the engine is to cheat. They have been accusing Mercedes of cheating all these years due to the power differential to other teams. So it is good news to hear that you are going to find more power. It is good for the competition and good for F1. However, I had assumed that when the FIA neutralised power modes for qualifying and the race this year, that it will play to your advantage. It did not work. Be careful then that the same reasons why neutralizing engine power modes did not work does not mitigate against you for the next season. The real truth, in my opinion, in the last five years has not been the engine power, as was evident this year. You have been improving your car throughout the year and only caught up with Mercedes at the end of the year. This is the case because not much changed in engine power during the year. I have seen that for the last 5 years. The real differential next year will once again be the car, not the engine. So I am worried that you are rather focusing on the engine for next year.22-12-2020 09:19

''The goal is to give Mercedes a bigger challenge. They have done a great job this year and it is to their credit that they have achieved this, but we are taking a lot of the last three or four races with us to next year because we have quite a bit of momentum that we can take with us now. Well, thanks for acknowledging the good work done by your competitors. You always do that. Be careful however of being optimistic too soon. The battle is only won against your adversaries. It is not won by how well you have prepared, you must always factor in how well they have prepared. Recall that fir the last three years you have always sounded so optimistic going into the new season? I see a pattern here which you may not have picked up. Mercedes always relaxes their competitive opportunities in the last quarter depending on how well the season went, giving RedBull the impression they have have caught up with them. This has happened the last five years. So RedBull comes out the ff year promising all sorts of things, only to be blown away again. Please be careful not to be caught in that trap again next year.22-12-2020 09:08

A good decision in the end. If you knew he was paying attention to Mercedes secrets this year then it means two things: 1. The decision was made earlier but kept silent so as to learn as much about Mercedes as possible. 2. The decision was kept silent to give Alex the impression he was still under consideration, while in the meantime everybody knew he was shot, except himself of course.22-12-2020 08:03

Alonso said the same about Lewis, when he was asked, are you noymt worried that no team mate if his has beaten him past half way in the season? He lived to regret it. RedBull have found themselves a double edged sword. They can use Checko to play the long game because of his skill on managing tyres and confuse the hell out of the Mercedes strategists. But they may have to make a choice early about who gets preference in the team order. Max will not find it easy.22-12-2020 08:16

We shall indeed. Fortunately we don't have long to go. It is a shot pre season. About being in the second best car, no comment. Let's leave that in the past because we cannot measure his performance against Max by that. Lets waut for the real deal.22-12-2020 09:22

Well, that is a Frank and brave admission. He could have added, "and Ferrari also failed". But he is too much of a gentleman for that. I think the seeds pf his failure were sown during his formative years and cemented during his time at RedBull. When you are set apart early on in your carear as special and naked favouratism is applied to you over your team mates (like happened between him and Webber at RedBull), you will go through life lacking the killer instinct of a Schumacher or a Hamilton. He is a very good driver. But to really be one of the best you need a certain meanness, which he does not have.22-12-2020 07:48
