erikver: don't worry, Joost knows Vegan very well. We all do. Sometimes we post a comment, knowing well enough that there's no real conversation with her or other posters here. As a matter of fact, most posters here only want to assert their own truth and don't care about a real dialogue. They are in search of confirmation from other like-minded peers, not an honest conversation. That's the way it is. "Continuing to be at the top (winning)" and "peaking" are two different things altogether, Vegan. Winning is a function of the interaction with other players, while peaking is a function of one's own athletic form. You can win even though your form is starting to decline. Mech is addressing the former, not the latter. Before replying, Vegan, a thorough read and understanding of a comment is RECOMMENDED.25-01-2025 14:44

When did Brundle say that Ham hasn't peaked exactly? I must have missed it... With all the respect for Lewis, and his splendid form, I'm not sure that it's even possible for an athlete, who has raced as many years as Lewis did, to peak now?. Thank you, Herr. Always a pleasure talking with you. I'm not well versed on Lewis' sympathies or routines. But Vegan's comment seemed to imply something personal toward Brundle "There's a reason Lewis didn't speak to Brundle for a long time" related to the opinions cited on this article.
