Isn't Horner married to a Spice Girl? What is her opinion on this serious matter?16-03-2024 23:30

Max has great talent but he has not beaten anyone of note in the same car. Are we to believe that Perez is the second-best driver on the grid? The results in F1 are 90% car, 10% driver. All this talk about Driver X being better than Driver Y is complete nonsense, unless the two drivers have gone head-to-head in the same car.16-03-2024 19:10

Friend, it is only acceptable to mention the quality of the car when Max is in the inferior car. Now repeat after me: Whenever Max loses, the car was inferior. Whenever Max wins, the driver was superior.16-03-2024 18:57

Whoa. What are you doing friend? You are not allowed to mention the times that Max lost, only the times that Max won! And if you do happen to mention the times that Max lost, it is mandatory that you must include a litany of excuses, because it could NEVER be the case that someone actually performed better than Max on even one single day in the history of the world!16-03-2024 18:52

Hogwash! F1 is all about the driver. It is only 1% the car and 99% the driver. Red Bull's dominance is surely due to the most excellent and supreme skills of Max Verstappen, the greatest driver of all time, and Perez, the second greatest driver of all time!16-03-2024 21:10

Exactly. No matter who wins, at least the fans might see some racing. Will RB replace Perez and give us the same? They surely would, if Max asked for it.17-03-2024 00:58

Why wasn’t it easy for Senna? He only won 8/16 in his best season. Perhaps it is because they are different drivers, their teammates are different, the drivers on the other teams are different, their cars are different, the staff on every team on the grid are different, and the rules they were under were different. You tell me. Ralf can say whatever he wants. Russell can say that Lewis is the greatest driver of all time like he did a week ago, Lewis fans can claim that he is the 2021 Champion, Massa can claim that he is the 2008 Champion, and Santa Claus can claim that he is more loved by children around the world than the Tooth Fairy. Now, if F1 were a real sport rather than a beauty contest, you would have Lewis and Max go head-to-head against each other in the same car. Or you would see Max and Alonso. Or Max and Leclerc battle. And we would see some racing.16-03-2024 23:13

Well, I'm not so sure about all of that. Prior to 2021 many people thought Max was reckless, and he had plenty of crashes and other mistakes that everyone witnessed. Has your memory failed you? If you put Max in a car against solid competition does he revert to the old dive-bombing crash or pass Max that we all came to know and love? We don't know, and unfortunately we will probably never know because RB has shown no will to replace Perez. Has Max looked more consistent than Lewis the past few years? Absolutely. But it is easy to be "consistent" when you have a dominant car and are driving against Perez. He can sit back and coast under the present circumstances. There is no pressure, intense-driving or risk-taking needed at all. You can even hear it in his voice after the races nowadays. The man sounds bored.16-03-2024 21:06

No, Max did not show what he can do today. There was no need for that. He has great skill but none of it was needed today. Surely you know that. It was a boring race.09-03-2024 19:53
