I dont know if it was unfair per se. Horner warned him wel in advancement that it wont be easy to drive that Bull, and that going against Max is a monumental task. Lawson was convinced he could do it, had ALOT of confidence, his driving style is totaly diffrent then how this Bull needs to be driven. And Max is a "cheater" just like M.Schumacher in a sense that both these drivers used 2 feet to drive. Left foot for braking and right foot for throttle, and they use this at the same time wich is how to drive this Red Bull to extract the maximum when cornering. Data shows Lawson is breaking extremely late, and then he cant put that foot down to throttle out of the corner as the rear wants to break. Max brakes a little earlier, and plays with braking / throttle mid corner and takes more speed into the apex and is able to throttle much earlier out of it. Do this for 6 corners and you lost a gigantic amount of time over a lap as Max takes alot more speed to the straight coming out of each corner. No matter how Lawson approach went to copy Max's data he just was extremely scared to put that throttle down. And yes it needs time to adjust to such a driving style, its like driving on eggs and it destroys all your confidence in the car. I hope he can get more experience now in Racing Bull and is giving another chanse when the time is right.29-03-2025 09:18

What he needs is time to learn to drive that Red Bull. Time they dont have. What he needed to do is hit the ground running. He realy made a big target of himself when pulling that middle finger to Perez. He got the attention of both helmut and horner. 2 races and 1 sprintrace finishing last is extremely painfull, and he is not realy to blame as nothing could prep him for the extremely difficult car Max is driving the wheels off. I bet he was shocked to see how that car has only 1 way to drive wich is with an extremely point front end and a very loose rear. I bet given enough time he would do better then Perez, but its time Red Bull doesnt have. I also think slamming in Yuki is not the way either, he will be shocked to unless he loves driving in such as style. And is able to perfect it, but if you love driving a pointy front end car to such extreme you should cope with it much better. Strange thing is that Schumacher loved to drive such pointy cars also, and Lewis to an extend to ! And the names i said were just 3 simple lads good for 18 world titles, so meh good lads if i say so. Seriously tough i hope yuki can pull it off, Red Bull's image might have taken a hit by sacking Kvyat / Gasly / Albon / Perez / Lawson. They were all good drivers, some better then others but none of them were slow it was always the way that Red Bull behaved and the confidence you need to have to drive that bull trough the corners on pure instinct. Lets hope for Yuki's sake he will pull it off.27-03-2025 21:51

Mclaren was able to turn their car from P18 to the front row within 18 months. It was nothing short of a "miracle" what they achieved. Verstappen at worste case is 0.600 behind wich should be drasticly reduced and can only be done by rock solid upgrades wich only Wache can do now. A monumental task on the shoulders of their new head of Aerodynamics. If the next set of upgrades are not providing increased pace then it would be better to chew your legs off and focus everything you have on next year. Take the pain now and live to fight another day as Mclaren will be to far ahead and might still be in a fight with Mercedes and Ferrari wich might go to the end of the season where you can lay full focus extremely early on next year. I know what i would do, if next round of updates fail pull the plug and 100% focus on 2026.27-03-2025 21:39

Fingers crossed. We have seen them come and go. Surely there must be a driver that can handle that bull other then Verstappen. If Yuki cant do it then what options do they have left ?26-03-2025 14:32

This isnt going to be solved in a few races. He needs a monumental amount of in car time wich isnt given anymore these days. Its realy sad for all those drivers that stepped inside that Red Bull next to Max. All those divers are pretty good in almost any other car just look at them all, Gasly / Albon / Perez / Lawson / Yuki are all decent drivers, maybe not a once in a lifetime talent, but quick enough to get cars to a good position. All of them struggled so hard, and this isnt so due to a car being made just for Max. This is the characteristics of said car where a driver needs to adapt to. And Albon nailed it, its like setting your controller to its maximum sensitivity and try to make a corner, if you do not know how to throttle / brake in the corners you lose a ton of time wich is happening to all drivers in that Red Bull. Its such an extreme car feat wich many drivers hate as its so unforgiven and takes alot of time to adjust to wich is not something Red Bull can give with so much at stake each GP. Maybe if Lawson gets some more driving hours in an F1 car he is able to pick up that much needed skillset to adapt to such car. But if Yuki nails it then he can make himself immortal ! infront of his homecrowd ! what a story that would be. Yet in all honesty i think he will also drown due to the way that car needs to be driven. Few more days and we know !26-03-2025 09:18

Why use the word " chaos " ? They need a driver able to drive that car into the points asap. They have the drivers on the grid, its just a matter of wich driver can drive that RB. Lawson's driving style doesnt match said RB and will take ALOT of time to get used to. Wich RB doesn thave, they need a driver taking points, and even make life difficult for Ferrari / Mercedes / Mclaren. Max is fighting 3 teams on his own since last season. The second driver isnt even in sight when the first pitstops are made wich is a total disaster as Lawson / Perez could not stall or get into the fight to get at least Max a few seconds of air on strategy calls. If Yuki fails also then they realy need a total redesign of their car wich cost alot of money and with a budget cap its a very risky decision as a totaly new car will have problems to be solved.26-03-2025 09:44

Get with the facts instead of throwing lies into the world. In the entire intervieuw he never ever said this. Hamilton is losing his mind, now everyone can see what a fragile person he is. He had the world behind him and due to these attacks on people who never did him wrong he is just making a fool of himself. What a shame he sunk this deep.... If there is one brand doing alot of good in the world with sport its Red Bull.18-06-2020 06:30
