He clearly did not have the fastest car last year and won the championship. Red Bull appear to be on a downward trajectory, so of course hes going to look at options. Any team would make room for him too.25-03-2025 12:46

If LH wins an 8th title with Ferrari, at age 40, then in the debate for greatest driver he stands alone. Thats my opinion and Im not even a fan of his.11-03-2025 08:09

Watch Hamilton's trajectory vs the one he took on the same corner a year or two later against Leclerc. Complete different lines. At Silverstone '21 LH knew from the sprint race that MV would go into the distance if he got ahead. So LH took a win it or bin it attitude towards that corner. LH is not a dirty driver, I dont think he means to take MV off, but he did go into that corner with a line that understeered into MV and left it up to Max to either avoid or have an accident. LH was given a penalty so the stewards felt it was his fault. The last race of the season wouldnt have been for the championship had this not happened.07-03-2025 08:12

Perez performed well against Button who performed well against Hamilton. Max buried him.07-03-2025 08:20

I guess it could only happen that way, to effect the performance clause and to gamble on Aston. Interesting statistic. 7 champions, 3 of which won multiple championships with his cars and 3 of which were ending their careers in his cars. Only Villeneuve was active with one championship and Newey left for Mclaren afterwards.05-03-2025 15:55

There have only been 2 drivers that won the championship in their 40s, and that was in the 1950s where the average driver age was around 35. Now the average age is around 26. At 40 you cannot be what you were 10 years ago, thats nature. Hamilton will not be as good as he was in his prime, its just not possible. He might plug some of that hole with experience, but the sum of the parts wont equal a sportsman in his prime. I do think Hamilton can win another championship, he is still that good. But Charles is also very fast and I do expect him to be as competitive if not better than Lewis. If that proves to be the case it doesnt mean LH isnt worthy of his status, hes just in decline.05-03-2025 16:09
