No need to be dramatic. All drivers at some point will have a lucky break with the safety car. It's all part of the game and it evens itself out during the course of the season one way or another eventually. So, relax @ Bret.10-07-2023 19:37

F1 drivers make a perfect start by utilizing various techniques, including a combination of engine power, tire grip, and timing. Firstly, the driver will use the engine's power to build up speed before the start, while keeping the RPMs at the optimal level for launching the car. This is known as the “launch control” system. Secondly, the driver will use the tires to transfer the engine power to the track. The tires need to be at the correct temperature to provide the optimal amount of grip. This is why F1 teams have tire warmers to heat the tires before the race starts and these were also used on Max's. He then performed the customary back and forth swerve during the formation lap to help maintain the tire temperature and pressure. So, no excuses on tire temperature. Finally, the driver will use the timing of the start to get the perfect launch. This includes predicting the exact moment when the lights go out, and then releasing the clutch at the right moment to achieve maximum acceleration and this is where Max failed. This is just fact, and the evidence was there to see. So Tony is absolutely right. It's the driver and not the car that ensures a perfect or near perfect race start especially when you have such a Rocketship called Redbull.10-07-2023 11:54

As if George gets points for out qualifying his teammates. Have a look at the current driver standings. That’s where it matters.07-05-2023 11:45

Alonso is just a windbag. Context is important. Mercedes complains because being a great team they are, they want to be competing at the front winning races. But they can’t do that because they are far off from Red Bull, they are slower than AM with Alonso himself failing to extract the maximum from a faster car. This is what Toto and his team have been saying but I guess one can’t expect a man of low IQ like that tool Alonso to understand that.01-04-2023 16:39

What’s there to speak about? See nothing wrong with Lewis’ response there. Maybe they should ask the same question to Maxsi as well and let’s see if he will look for Lewis as well and speak to him. It takes two to tango doesn’t it???30-03-2023 12:24
