Indeed. Both instances were Lance at fault. Monza, with an out of control dive bomb after having gone off. Russia he was sleeping on the wheel. Lance does not play the team game. Sakhir 2020 when Perez was running with far superior pace and newer tires, when 2nd place was up grab, he was defending against Perez and Racing Point could not instruct Stroll to let him by to try for 2nd. But Vettel not to be in these circumstances should just comfortably out qualify Stroll.30-09-2021 18:28

And he (Hamilton) should have won in Imola, France, Hungary and Monza. Some how he has this illusion that RBR is faster when in fact he has the faster car. Everybody can see25-09-2021 11:37

RBR were 1 second slower than Merc.30-08-2021 20:04

If no Max and no Ham, Bottas would have 5 wins. 6 if they did not mess up his pit-stop. Perez would have 1 win. Still Mercedes dominance. This still shows Mercedes is the much quicker car.30-08-2021 19:52

This is true to any observer. If RBR had Perez / Albon / Gasly in any combination as their two drivers. Merc would have won: Bahrain Imola Portugal Spain Monaco (without Bottas pit issue) France Austria Styria Great Britain That is 9 of 11 races perhaps even Hungary as the championship would not be so tight Merc would not have been so cautious with Hamilton. This would also mean 4 1-2s and Bottas would have 2 race wins to his name and would be Hamilton's only title rival. This by any measure would be another dominant Mercedes season to add to the last 7. It is only Max making the this a championship in the RBR.30-08-2021 12:06

Windsor is pretending to be enjoying Max and is rather seething that his favorite LH is being beaten. You can see his youtube videos struggling and straining to smile with the words Max won escaping his mouth while hiding his annoyance.07-07-2021 17:03

It is a level playing field and he is being beaten so what he is really hoping for is for the FIA to get him his car advantage back.28-06-2021 11:45

Vettel passed 7 drivers - Bottas and Norris, Tsunoda, Alonso, Leclerc, Hamilton and Gasly all on track or through his over-cut or through a driver error by Hamilton. He got a slice of luck with Verstappen. What is Tom Coronel's problem with this without those 7 legitimate passes he would not have been on the podium.12-06-2021 13:52

He is right. Merc is simply faster. Lap times do not lie and Mercedes are doing laps in shorter times than RBR.17-05-2021 22:19

1. Mercedes topped 2 of the 3 practice sessions. 2. Topped 3 of the 3 qualifying sessions. 3. Had the fastest lap of the weekend and was the only car to get into the 1:17s 4. Won the race. 5. Their slower driver got the fastest lap of the race 0.016 slower than Max's effort even though he ran wide to achieve it and on a lap less of fuel. I think a lot points to Mercedes having the quicker car in Portugal really. Max finishing 2nd was pure strategy and tyre warming issues for Bottas. Had the tyres fired up straight away, Bottas would have taken 2nd.04-05-2021 02:56
