For first race great result for him would be finish p8 and if someone from McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull has a problem then accordingly higher. But I doubt it. I expect him to stop at Q2, about ~12th. In the race more or less about the same place depending on problems others will have.30-03-2025 14:30

It seems that way, cause we see penalties like we havent seen long before. Its ok, drivers will adapt if its consistent. But it never is. They start to dish out harsh penalties, drivers adapt, they dont take risky moves anymore...people start to complain that races is boring. To make more exciting, they "let them race". Then drivers start to take 50:50 (even less) oppurtunities. Someone gets upset about this and here we go again...10-12-2024 22:55

Seems that Leclerc is the rudest driver after all. Who would have thought... :D24-11-2024 22:23

Dont know. I think the conditions was for wet tires. The few that got them were quick. Not sure Lando would survive with that inters the heavy rain period, but maybe would. Its all guessing game now.04-11-2024 15:57

You are right, but its the fight that Verstappens cant win. Ok they shut them now. What happens next time when 50:50 situation involving Verstappen occur? Or when he will have poor race. Or when he will make mistake. Cause these things will happen, its only natural to happen. The media will be back at double force.04-11-2024 17:45

You were sure it will be time penalty. :) I predicted (as a joke to be fair) 10k + penalty point...it almost turned out to be true (the penalty was even lighter...)04-11-2024 07:15

I would say the luck more or less leveled itself out today. First in Q1 Norris gets a bit lucky not to be eliminated in the race of course a bit unlucky with red flag. Max the same - unlucky in Q2, lucky in race. Although if race would not be stopped looking back now it would still be advantage Verstappen as Norris got inters and conditions surely worsened wets. So Verstappen would go in for wets and either Norris would need to come in second time for wets or try to survive with inters. Either way he would loose a lot of time and surely position to Verstappen. So all in all a bad call from Norris/Mclaren.03-11-2024 23:00

Problem in general is that sometime the matter is taken by the rule letter, the other time analyzed by the situation. For example you can make false star and realize it, stop to standstill, loose 5 positions because of that and bam - get the 5sec. penalty, because false start. The other time in identical situation got fine or something meaningless because you didnt get lasting advantage and so on. Even you was sure it will be time penalty during the race yesterday. Of course today you say almost what a harsh penalty :D "Please dont do that anymore" from steward and 5k fine for millionaire. Verstappen touched Hamiltons rear wing few years ago in the same Brazil and got 50k fine. Surely it was 10x more serious rule break than "lets drive one more warm up lap".04-11-2024 14:30

Looking strictly its not just some innocent procedure breach. Its also about security risk. Stroll crashed in formation lap. Going in another formation lap while his crashed car siting there and track workers are working on it... All in all there is reason why aborted start mandates stay in your position. But ok - its Lando, the good boy.04-11-2024 07:27
