I don't think he will loose his job, m pretty sure FOM/Liberty-Media ask Masi to "let them race", finish this championship under the safety car, with hamilton unpenalized for going flatout at the runoff will damage the sport on the long run. Nobody here or anywere deny that Gasly is far superior driver than Perez but also nobody want to put his hands on the fire for him... In the Gasly (and Albon) were cut because of his mental issues, being dominated or under the big shadow Max puts on to you while being effectively a rookie is too much to bear, Albon coulnd't keep his frustations away from the cameras, Gasly tried to pull politics move with his sponsors asking him to design a car for him (thats why he was cut, because nobody tells newey/horner what to do and what driver to focus on), thats the advantage and peace they have with Perez, its a experienced driver with great financial backing, know his place on the team, its fast on sundays, can defend and overtake better than Albon and Gasly and more importantly doesn't mind losing places to help Max.29-11-2021 16:14

Still has to prove that he has it... i don't think hamilton is going to help him a lot as many people think it will, it's fast but he will be in bottas car, which everyone agrees is slower, personally i think he is going to be next albon, talented, quick but the mental part will be a factor against hamilton.26-11-2021 16:10

It's Bottas 4 year with the team, if Perez beat Bottas with that rocket at his back he had no place in F1 for next year. Checo has made rookie mistakes all season while Bottas just had some really bad luck, next year the comparision will be slightly more fare, the question is whatever Hamilton will help Russell adapt, m pretty sure sir lulu won't help at all he maybe stop garages from sharing information for a while.
