A number of spectacular battles took place on the track in the sweltering final round of the Japanese Grand Prix. This included a battle between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso, who crossed the finish line with only 11 thousandths between them.
The final lap on the wet Suzuka Circuit was the scene of several fine duels. Sergio Perez fought it out with Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon held off Lewis Hamilton's attacks and Formula 1 veterans Vettel and Alonso battled it out for sixth place. Vettel managed to keep Alonso behind, but it was extremely close: the German crossed the finish line just 11 thousandths of a second ahead of the Alpine driver. See how that looked in the video above!
