The first DNF for
Charles Leclerc in 2022 is a fact. He seemed to be driving towards an unthreatened victory, partly due to
Max Verstappen's failed DRS, until his F1-75 gave up the ghost. The Monegasque had to go straight to the pits and parked in
Ferrari's garage.
This left
George Russell surprisingly in the lead, with a severely irritated Verstappen in his wake. The Dutchman has since been in for a second stop, while his teammate
Sergio Perez has taken over the lead from Russell.
