bringing out a 30-minute Red Flag. Meanwhile,
Max Verstappen has also been handed a huge blow in the Drivers' standings, after the Dutchman stalled and then retired on the opening lap of the Grand Prix.
As has
Lando Norris, the
McLaren driver suffered his second breakdown in a row after 45 laps - heartbreak for the 2025 Monaco GP winner.
As for the Constructors’ Standings, Mercedes maintain their lead in the title fight, although Red Bull find consolation in Isack Hadjar's first Grand Prix podium secured after a
post-race Stewards investigation.
Cadillac seemed to have scored their first ever points in
F1 following a penalty for Nico Hulkenberg, with Sergio Perez crossing the line in P10, but a first point of the season will instead go to Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso after Perez received a ten-second penalty for a false start.
