Verstappen called to the stewards after Baku F1 race
Verstappen is under the stewards' magnifying glass for allegedly not following the rules during the virtual safety car. The incident reportedly involved an action after the finish, when he overtook other drivers while there was a yellow flag.
Nico Hulkenberg,
Pierre Gasly, and
Esteban Ocon must report to the stewards for the same reason.
The stewards are also investigating
McLaren. The Woking-based team may have committed an offense in the pit lane. It involves the team's personnel and/or equipment that would have been in the pit lane during the race. Verstappen started the GP at the
Baku City Circuit from sixth place. The Dutchman eventually finished fifth after teammate
Sergio Perez crashed with
Ferrari driver
Carlos Sainz. The stewards' verdict will determine whether he has to fear for his fifth place.
