Max Verstappen clinched his fourth world title in Las Vegas.
Helmut Marko had nothing but praise for the Dutchman in an exclusive interview with
GPblog.
Marko speaks highly of Verstappen
All
Verstappen had to do to win his fourth world title in Las Vegas was to finish ahead of
Lando Norris, or not to lose to him by more than two points. In qualifying, he already put his Red Bull one spot ahead of the
McLaren. The pair finished where they had started from, Verstappen crossed the finish line in P5 and Norris P6.
Talking exclusively to
GPblog,
Helmut Marko, Red Bull's top advisor, commented about Verstappen's performance.
"Max is, at the moment, the best driver," the Austrian said.
Verstappen's goal in Las Vegas was to win the world title and he could achieve just that. "He showed that he can use his head when it's necessary like today. I think if it wouldn't have been for the championship, he would have been on the podium and it was unbelievable. Unbelievable," Marko said.
