Lewis Hamilton has had a challenging start to the season, often experiencing issues with his Mercedes, especially in qualifying. Speaking at Sunday's drivers parade, the Brit shared how he is feeling ahead of the Grand Prix in Monaco.

When asked how he is feeling ahead of today's race, the former world champion said: "It just never gets old. It's, it's such a privilege, the guys on this truck, to be here to be able to do what we do. It's something I literally pinch myself every morning when I come here, particularly for the race just because I grew up watching this on TV, and we're so, so fortunate."

Hamilton was not seen outside the top 3 in both Friday and Saturday's free practice sessions, but will start seventh for today's grand prix. When asked what the issue is, the Mercedes driver responded: "My race pace is not and has not been an issue this year. It's just qualifying. It just never that great. So, and then a track like this qualifying is everything. So today won't be particularly the most exciting races, but I'll, you know, I'll give it my best shot."

Hamilton starts from P7, one place behind 2021 title rival Max Verstappen. The British driver started behind teammate George Russell in Imola last weekend, but managed to finish ahead following a late pitstop for Russell.
