The Formula 1 calendar will be presented shortly by F1. La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian newspaper presented what they report as the new calendar for 2022, but some changes might be made to it.
With the Formula 1 calendar for 2022 the leadership of the sport hopes to set a new record. There are 23 races to be completed in perhaps the shortest season ever in terms of time. This is because the management does not want to get in the way of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year, so the season will end in November.
There are a number of remarkable things about the calendar reported by the Italian newspaper. Compared to the earlier calendar presented by Speedweek.com presented, there are still some changes. The first test week in Barcelona is now longer and the test week in Bahrain will be held earlier. There are also doubts about the Singapore Grand Prix. A vote should determine whether Turkey or Singapore will be allocated this place in October.
The last change is at the end of the calendar where the United States Grand Prix will be held earlier than the Mexican Grand Prix, just like in 2021. This was reversed on the previously published calendar.
