Online, there was some cynicism among Lewis Hamilton's fans after the double failure for Red Bull Racing. However, the Brit himself would not comment on possible 'karma' for Max Verstappen and his team.
There is still a large group of people who see the end of 2021 as unfair. Verstappen was allowed to keep his world title even after the FIA 's investigation, but how the season was decided in Abu Dhabi is still a reason for some to react angrily on online platforms.
For example, there was talk online of "karma" for Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. The Dutchman and his teammate Sergio Perez retired at the Bahrain Grand Prix with a fuel pump problem. Many points were lost. However, Hamilton does not want to respond to these online reactions.
''I don't have a response to it. I just focused on our job. Obviously it was unfortunate for them [Red Bull Racing] today but, yeah, I just focus on positives.'' the Briton said at the press conference after the Bahrain GP. So a hard statement from the Brit did not come against these noises from his fans.
When did comments by retards on Twitter somehow become worthy of questions to drivers. F1 "Journalism" is a joke if they have to go to Twitter for relevant questions.
This god's way to deal. Last year God gave max the championship and pain to lewis. The same situation repeated then God decided to give pain to horner and max. Just feel it. All champion needed good car to win Talent just not enough. Finally god decide who is to win.
You MUST take advantage of the opportunities presented to you, if you want to make it to the very top in a highly competitive sport. Can't blame anyone for doing that, as long as it doesn't involve breaking the rules set out for you, or running someone off track on purpose. You shouldn't wish what happened to Hamilton in the final race of last season and what happened to Red Bull in the first race of this one. To do so is just in bad taste, bad sportsmanship. So petty and sad, in my opinion. It's a sport, not a bloody soap opera...
There wasn't no karma yesterday because you can't compare a lost title because a guy has made a human error dictated by a member from the rival team with a double retirement at the begining of the season..Anyway, it s better that Hamilton has refused to make comments about it .Verstappen never did the same about the events from Abu Dhabi...
Devil like verstappen deserves what happened in Bahrain GP . Driving very aggressively dont care if he killed other driver . And we have a lot of examples. I wish to see him each race retire. And we can enjoy the clean competition between other drivers .
So Redbull has had an double dnf boohoo what i Karma, what an amazing move by Mercedes to take revenge on Red Bull.. oh wait.. They didn't the only reason the W13 was on the podium is because they where best of the rest.. so have a laugh now but still no 8th title in sight unless they improve a lot very quickly
In 2023 Hamilton it wil be in F1 .There is another chance next year ..
Great karma. One ended up with 15 pts and the other with a World Championship. OUCH.
No RedBull and Max have spent all winter trying to trash MB team and justify their human-Error *WDC.
The safety car procedure was spot on. Masi's safety car procedure was totally bs.
This is Ferrari's championship. RBR have a fundamentally quick car they can improve and will be good for 5-6 wins. Merc have a fundamentally flawed chassis and engine, which they can't do much with. Would have finished 45-50 seconds off the pace if not for the safety car. Merc engines basically make up all the backmarkers. They have serious issues that won't be quickly resolved. The joke is on Merc.
That’s okay, Merc will take this as a development year to understand the aero and sort their car - they don’t have to prove anything after 8 consecutive WCC’s. Funny how quickly you change sides after the very first race it’s now a “Ferrari’s Championship”. Be a true supporter and back your team whether they win or lose.
Lewis won't say it but I will, yes its KARMA, and expect more to come Redbulls way. This weekend another double DNF.
What a race. Now everyone can see what happens when 2 great drivers battle one another. No touching and rubbing. Wheel to wheel racing of the highest level. If Lewis was in the mix a crash was surely on. A mediocre driver in the fastest car just got caught out as the crash test dummy.
Please remind yourself of what lewis did in every single night race last year. Won by 10+ seconds. So Max would not have been anywhere near to him. Bahrain, Qatar, jeddah and abu dhabi. Lewis won all of them. So restate your words to something more realistic. And Lewis doesnt have a crash record btw. Go do some research
Lol. Do you really whant everyone to think Lewis never crashed. Just asked Roseburg how many times Lewis drove into him in 2016. He can't do wheel to wheel racing. Never could.
Yeah thats why rossberg retired right. Rossberg took him out and tried other times also. Just look at who has one of the cleanest records in F1 history when it comes to battles with other drivers. You will see Lewis' name over there smarty
If you watch F1, please adjust your views on Karma. It's the same belief as someone deserving the title because they had bad luck or something. This is motorsport, SH just happens sometimes. Celebrate your wins, but you don't have to celebrate someone's losses.
Karma? With all the changes i'm glad that not many cars DNF. We got treated to a deserved Ferrari win yesterday. And the battle between VER and LEC was nice to watch. Shame Perez and Carloz still get out-raced. And i'm truly sorry for Merc,...they have allot of work to do. The race pace was way out of Ferrari and RB league. But there are more races than this one...let's see how this continues.
The funny thing, Lewis isn't suggesting anything about Karma in the slightest. It's sites like GPBlog who have always written with a Max leaning slant, who seem to actually know deep down that what happened wasn't right, by writing headlines like this, as well as people writing comments like yours, acknowledging that there is reason for so called Karma.
Come oooon, It did made your day both red bulls going out and max whining like a baby. Cherry on the cake knowing Horner will be gutted. Hahahaha
Not really. After everything last year, the idea of watching the sport for the sake of hoping someone fails is the most boring thing. Yes it was 'lucky' for people I support, but I'd rather watch who I support win on merit and not because reliability issues. It is part of the sport, just not a part to be celebrated. For sure, If you gain from it, then celebrate your luck.
