The weekend in China was full of ups and downs for
Lewis Hamilton. While he got disqualified from the Grand Prix on Sunday, he managed to win the Sprint on the Saturday. On Monday, it was announced that the Briton will be a cover athlete on a special edition of the next
F1 game released by EA Sports.
Hamilton is the cover athlete of the 'Iconic Edition'
Over the course of the game's history, many different drivers featured as cover athletes on the
Formula 1 games for PC and console. This year, dressed in
Ferrari's famous red suit, the seven-time world champion will be the cover athlete of the 'Iconic Edition'. What that exactly means will be revealed this Wednesday.
Hamilton, together with his current teammate,
Charles Leclerc, and
Lando Norris, featured as cover athletes in F1 24 as well. That season and in 2023, it was
Max Verstappen who headlined the 'Champions Edition'.
During the F1 22 game, the two world champions also already featured on the 'Champions Edition', alongside
Fernando Alonso and
Sebastian Vettel. See the new cover below!
